  2027 New Player Expression of Interest
  
  By submitting this Expression of Interest, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
  
  1. New players only
  This Expression of Interest is only for players who are new to Taringa Rovers SFC for the 2027 season.
  For these terms, a current TRSFC player is a player registered with Taringa Rovers SFC for the 2026 season.
  Current TRSFC players should not complete this EOI. They will be contacted separately about 2027 team placements, internal trials, offers and registration.
  Current players who are interested in moving to a different team or program should first speak with their current coach or the relevant club football lead.
  
  2. Purpose of the EOI
  Submitting an EOI is free.
  An EOI allows the club to assess interest, plan teams and contact prospective players about trials, assessments and possible team opportunities.
  Submitting an EOI:
  is not a player registration;
  does not create a contract between the player and the club;
  does not guarantee an invitation to trial;
  does not guarantee selection or placement in a team; and
  does not require the player to accept any subsequent offer.
  
  3. Information and authority
  The person submitting the EOI confirms that:
  the information provided is accurate and complete;
  they will notify the club if any material information changes;
  they are the player or are authorised to act for the player; and
  for a player under 18, they are the player’s parent or legal guardian, or have the authority of the parent or legal guardian.
  
  The club may decline an EOI or withdraw an invitation or offer if materially false, misleading or incomplete information has been provided.
  
  4. Trials and selection
  The club will determine whether a player is invited to attend a trial, grading session or assessment.
  Player selection and team placement may take into account:
  ability, experience and development needs;
  performance during trials or assessments;
  age and competition eligibility;
  playing position and team balance;
  attitude, conduct and attendance;
  the number of available places;
  coach and facility availability; and
  the requirements of the relevant competition or program.
  Selection decisions will be made reasonably, in good faith and without unlawful discrimination.
  An invitation to trial does not guarantee selection.
  Football selection and team placement decisions are final. Concerns about the selection process, discrimination, conduct or safeguarding may be raised under the applicable club, Football Queensland or Football Australia complaints policy.
  
  5. Teams and programs
  The club does not guarantee that a team or program will be formed or entered into a particular competition.
  The club may reasonably combine, change, withdraw or decide not to form a team or program because of:
  insufficient or excessive player numbers;
  coach or facility availability;
  competition structures or decisions;
  age or eligibility requirements; or
  other operational circumstances outside the club’s reasonable control.
  
  The club will advise affected players as soon as reasonably practicable.
  
  6. Age and eligibility
  Players must satisfy all age, identity, registration, transfer, clearance and competition requirements applying to the relevant team or program.
  The club may request documents or information reasonably required to confirm eligibility.
  A player may only participate outside their usual age group where this is approved by the club and permitted under the applicable Football Queensland, Football Australia and competition rules.
  
  7. Offers and registration
  A player does not have a confirmed place until they have:
  received a written offer from the club;
  accepted the offer by the stated deadline;
  completed all required registration steps;
  satisfied all eligibility and clearance requirements; and
  paid the applicable fees or entered into a payment arrangement approved by the club.
  
  An offer may lapse or be withdrawn if:
  it is not accepted by the stated deadline;
  registration or payment requirements are not completed;
  the player does not satisfy the applicable eligibility requirements;
  materially inaccurate information has been provided; or
  the relevant team or program cannot proceed.
  
  Any offer, registration, fees, refunds and ongoing participation will be governed by the club’s separate 2027 registration terms and policies.
  
  8. Attendance and insurance
  Submitting an EOI does not provide insurance cover.
  Players must not attend a trial, assessment, training session or other club football activity unless invited or authorised by the club.
  Before participating, players must follow the club’s instructions and satisfy any registration, participant-recording, sanctioning and insurance requirements applying to that activity.
  Insurance cover is subject to the terms of the applicable Football Queensland and Football Australia insurance arrangements in force at the time.
  
  9. Conduct and safety
  Players and their parents or carers must behave respectfully in all dealings with players, coaches, volunteers, officials and other families.
  They must comply with the applicable:
  club codes of conduct and policies;
  Football Queensland rules and policies;
  Football Australia rules and policies;
  safeguarding and member protection requirements; and
  venue and safety directions.
  
  The club may take reasonable action, including ending a player’s participation in a trial or declining or withdrawing an invitation or offer, where necessary to protect safety, manage serious or repeated misconduct, or comply with an applicable rule or policy. Any action will be taken subject to the complaints, disciplinary or review procedures that apply in the circumstances.
  
  10. Privacy
  Personal information collected through the EOI may be used to:
  assess the player’s EOI;
  administer trials and assessments;
  plan and form teams;
  communicate with the player or parent or carer;
  confirm age and eligibility;
  manage offers and registration;
  meet insurance and safety requirements; and
  administer the club’s football activities.
  
  Where reasonably necessary, information may be provided to authorised club officials, coaches, Football Queensland, Football Australia, competition administrators, insurers and service providers involved in administering football activities. Information may also be used or disclosed where required or authorised by law. Consent for unrelated direct marketing will be requested separately where required. Declining optional marketing consent will not affect the assessment of an EOI. Requests to access or correct personal information may be sent to:

  11. Communications
  Players and parents or carers must provide accurate contact details and regularly check their email, including junk or spam folders. Failure to respond or complete a required action by a stated deadline may result in a trial invitation or offer lapsing. The club is not responsible for communications not received because contact details were incorrect, incomplete or not kept current.
  
  12. Applicable rules
  The EOI process is subject to the club’s constitution and policies and the applicable rules and policies of Football Queensland and Football Australia.
  If these terms are inconsistent with a mandatory law or governing-body rule, the law or governing-body rule will apply to the extent of the inconsistency.
  
  These terms are governed by the laws applying in Queensland.
