Following the specific technical recommendation from Football Australia in line with global best practice, the 9v9 format will be in place across all competitions across Queensland (mixed/girls and community/advanced) from 2023.

Further information regarding the playing format and rules can be found HERE

Metro League (U14 - U18)

Taringa Rovers Soccer FC

Players at these age groups continue playing in inter-club competitions and move onto full-sized games.

Trials and grading for these teams occur in order to ensure players and teams are appropriately allocated to a division that is in line with their abilities ie. Division 1 - 6.

Teams in this age group can be mixed gender, or gender specific (i.e. all girls teams playing in an all girls competition). Taringa Rovers has previously fielded numerous all girls teams as well as mixed gender teams to cater for as many players as possible.

For these teams we ask for parent volunteer coach for each team and a dedicated parent volunteer manager to be the central point of contact for team communication.

Team Coaches and Managers

Taringa Rovers Soccer FC

We ask for parent volunteer coach for each team and a dedicated parent volunteer manager to be the central point of contact for team communication.

At the end of training, we ask that our parent community assist with packing up of the fields, including goals, to ensure the fields are quickly accessible for the next age group starting training.

All coaches and managers must register as a volunteer through PlayFootball and provide a Bluecard (working with children) check. There is no cost for this and Taringa Rovers assists you with this quick process.

To become a team coach or team manager, please contact our volunteer coordinator Lauren volunteers@taringarovers.com.au
