Taringa Rovers has always fielded strong women’s teams, with a mixture of competitive and social pathways to cater for all abilities.

2021 will see the following teams fielded at Taringa:

·       Women's Capital 1

·       Women's Capital 1 Reserves

·       Women's City League team (division to be confirmed)

These teams give an opportunity for women of every age and skill level to participate in football. With a great social atmosphere and a level for everyone, we would encourage anyone interested to come on down and see what the Rovers are all about.

What’s the difference between the teams?

Capital 1 is a competitive team supported by a blend of youth and experience in our Capital 1 Reserves team. The City League team caters for more social players including those that are progressing from junior to senior football, some senior women wishing to relive their youth and a range of ladies simply wanting to play for the first time. Capital 1 and Capital 1 Reserves players are required to attend 2 training sessions per week and match day, but if you are unable to make the commitment, City League may be more suitable.

Pre-season trials for the 2021 season will continue in full swing on Monday the 11th January and Wednesday the 13th of January, starting at 7pm at Kenmore Junior Aussie Rules, Hepworth St, Chapel Hill. We will return to Jack Speare Park in February for the rest of the season.
